Too busy to succeed ?
Too busy to succeed ?
If you pick anybody from the crowed and ask how’s life going on? 90% chance is to get a well-known answer and that is, “yes, life is going good” with a silent “but”. The silent “but” speaks more than the words said; it is obviously veiling the dissatisfaction from life, either professional or personal. People are too busy in their daily lives personally and professionally that they have forgotten to innovate their better self. The better self that is free from silent “but” and is also the key to unleash the true potential of an individual to achieve the coveted success.
Let me present the story of Mr. Ancient Pillar.
Mr. Ancient Pillar has been known as an excellent scholar of his time. He has received many awards, appreciations and pleasing wonderments throughout his age of youth. Being blessed with the encouragements from family & friends he set very high Goals to achieve in person as well as in profession for his anticipated success trajectory. He set the goal to become very rich and very famous by the mid age of maturity.
He started his actions towards becoming a global leader in the area of technology business, he worked hard. But in due course of time he realized that his family responsibilities are not supportive enough for him to focus on his goal. Opportunistically he received some assured recommendations to become vice chancellor of most renowned university in the country from his influential relatives; they appraised him further about his qualities of people administration and academic excellence. Consequently he changed his goal and this time it was to become the VC of a well-known University in his state. After two years from then his goal couldn’t turn into reality. One day he headed towards sky asking the God that why he is not favoring him but all others.
Even if your wristwatch is stopped for any reason; time keeps running on its speed, no matter whatever is happening to whom. With the passing time Mr. Ancient Pillar got covered with the stress of not being able to achieve his goals and apparently started blaming family, friends and God for his situation & misfortune. His turbulent thoughts acetified his daily life even, which was joyful & easy going earlier.
Mr. Ancient Pillar got few good professional opportunities on his way but opted for none. He has been still waiting for the giant opportunity which can set him on top of world, very rich and very famous.
Now, he is too busy in worrying for what he could not achieve, extremely indulged about thinking why there is no one to understand his feelings and why there are so many roadblocks only on his way.
Today, he works in a technology company as an average Technology professional for average salary. He looks silent, serious, introvert and smiles rarely.
His dreams are still alive inside him but some unknown force has made him to accept the difficulties of life and gradually he learned to flow with the wind.
I think, Mr. Ancient Pillar is not alone in such a situation. There is an Ancient Pillar in many of the individuals. They carry and nourish their worst enemy within themselves and obviously they do it inadvertently.
I would like to ask few questions here to the readers:
1. Mr. Ancient Pillar has been valued by others for his contemporary achievement only, should he consider that as a certificate of insurance for his life-long success trajectory?
2. Did he actually understood his Strengths and Weaknesses before choosing from options he had?
3. Did he set really smart goals or they were too generic?
4. Was he self-motivated and had explored all possible ways to convert his dream into a reality?
5. Mr. Ancient Pillar has been trapped into trammel of obstacles en-grafted by world around him, really?
6. Was he really busy in doing what he should have been doing for his dream success?
7. Who can make Mr. Ancient Pillar to stand up, Look upright and lead towards the success?
Before you answer the seventh question, look back inside you. Make sure that Mr. Ancient Pillar is not residing inside you. Not even a single bit of him.
I am happy to imagine that you smiled before you painted the answer inside your brain for the last question.
Thanks for reading.
